The Person Behind the Company

Nathan Miller has  over 25+ years experience in the construction industry — starting in the field, learning every trade from the ground up, and eventually running his own general contracting operation. That field experience isn’t just background. It’s the reason Rapport Construction operates the way it does.

Growing up on a farm in the Midwest, Nathan developed a deep appreciation for craftsmanship, hard work, and taking pride in what you build. After building a successful contracting business in Las Vegas, Nevada — working with some of the most discerning clients in the country — Nathan relocated his family to Franklin, Tennessee and founded Rapport Construction with a clear purpose: to bring that same level of professionalism, accountability, and craftsmanship to the Middle Tennessee market.

Over the course of his career Nathan has been trusted with projects for world-renowned recording artists and DJs, professional athletes, James Beard-recognized chef, Fortune 400 executives, national franchise operators, and landmark entertainment venues — including a Smithsonian magazine-featured cultural institution. Clients at that level don’t give second chances. The standard they expect is the standard Rapport Construction delivers on every job.

How Rapport Construction Works

Rapport takes on a limited number of projects at a time. This isn’t a limitation — it’s a commitment. Every client receives Nathan’s direct involvement from the initial consultation through the final punch list. Here’s what that looks like in practice:
A thorough consultation to understand your goals, timeline, and vision before a single number goes on paper. Nathan takes the time to truly hear what you’re looking for — sometimes that takes one conversation, sometimes it takes several. There’s no rush.
Every remodel begins with a detailed walkthrough led by Nathan and each trade partner. By reviewing the project together before pricing, we ensure every detail is considered, allowing us to provide an accurate, transparent estimate with confidence.
Before any work begins, Nathan personally walks the project with each trade partner to align on scope, sequence, and site conditions — eliminating the surprises and delays that come from subs seeing a job for the first time on day one.
